Venturing the Last Frontier

Welcome! I am Emma, a woman of very average height, curly hair, embodiment of a very loud laugh, an adventurer, decent cook, lover of all things Harry Potter and follower of Jesus Christ. In January 2021, I move with my English Lab to very rural Alaska. 

I am more or less building the plane as I am flying it. 

Before this, I had never been to Alaska; in the important moments I chose to be brave and it has led me here.

I am on an incredible journey learning how to live this lifestyle while medically treating the community and Native villages of the area.

This blog will highlight the people I meet, the things I cook, the things I see and all the tips and tricks along with the many mistakes I will learn along the way.
